What is Clearshield

Clearshield is a protective coating that is completely clear, versatile and micro-porous. Used for the protection of porous surfaces such as stone cladding, brickwork and cement render. Clearshield deeply penetrates the surface to prevent algae and fungal growth, as well as providing the necessary protection against penetrating damp. Clearshield is invisible when dry so you maintain the aesthetically pleasing of your brickwork or stone cladding.

How Clearshield works

When applied Clearshield becomes part of the surface filling the pores with a water repellent substance causing the water to ‘bead’ on to the surface keeping your walls free from saturation. Clearshield's damp prevention treatment will not alter the appearance of the brickwork or breathing ability of the surface. Clearshield is not affected by surface abrasion or erosion and lasts longer than other surface treatments

Water Repellent

This is colourless silicone based water repellent wall coating that protects stone and concrete masonry against rainwater penetration and deterioration. The advantage of silicone water repellents is that they do not stain or discolour the substrate, they have excellent UV resistance and counteract the building tendency to pick up dirt and grime. Andura Pro-Clear is a suitable wallcoating for all absorbent, porous materials such as brick, concrete and stone.
